Kyla Culbertson

Kyla Culbertson is a ceramic artist from Canton, Illinois currently based in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was recognized as a Ceramics Monthly Emerging Artist in 2019 and received her MFA in Ceramics from Arizona State University in 2023.

Alongside her studio practice, Culbertson is a dedicated art educator currently teaching Kindergarten through 8th grade art. She is excited to join Children’s Art Classes, where she hopes to encourage creativity, confidence, and curiosity through art-making.

Sheila Gallegos opened Children’s Art Classes in North Scottsdale with one goal in mind: to bring something meaningful to the community that truly serves children. While she is not an art teacher herself, Sheila is deeply committed to supporting the talented instructors who are the experts in their craft. Her passion lies in creating an encouraging, creative environment where kids feel safe to explore, express themselves, and grow.

She believes art teaches far more than technique — it helps children think outside the box, build confidence, develop resilience, and discover their own voice. Sheila’s vision is to give every child a place where creativity becomes a life skill and a source of self‑esteem.
